Description
"In Her Father's Boots" is a documentary film written, directed and produced by Anne Moebes and available from AnnieGirl® Films.
Synopsis
In this emotional film, Anne connects to the memory of her father by tracing his steps in a Army Air Force photo recon unit in the South Pacific during World War II. This documentary film includes a wealth of photos her father took while documenting his time in a photo recon unit during the war, punctuated by letters to and from his sister who worked in the office of the Vice President of the United States.
In addition, Anne traveled to Kahuku Point in Hawaii and Espiritu Santo in the South Pacific, and throughout the United States gaining access to privately-owned former military installations, and interviewing military experts and her father's former tent mates to understand what it must have been like for the troops living in a tent for three years in a military support unit, who routinely were attacked in air raids, protracted malaria and learned to depend on each other.

Synopsis
Mama is a black woman struggling with anxiety and depressionbut, because of the strong stigma in the older generational African-American community that “black women are strong and don’t need help,” Mama suffers in silence until her daughter finally gives her the “courage to ask for help”.

This PSA aired extensively on ABC’s affiliate stations, including during “Good Morning America” and on other radio and televisions stations throughout the NYC metropolitan area.
